Ash Wednesday

On Wednesday, February 17th, Holy Eucharist will be celebrated with the Imposition of Ashes at 12:00 noon and 5:30 p.m. at the Cathedral.

Shrove Tuesday

The Shrove Tuesday Pancake Feed will be on Tuesday, February 16th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. EMERGE will be helping out with all proceeds to benefit the acolyte program.

Acolyte Training

Acolyte training will be February 6th at 3:00 pm, at the Cathedral. Anyone who is interested, adults and youth alike, are welcome!

January

Epiphany Party

The Epiphany party was held on January 6 at 6:00 with soup and Epiphany cake.

Confirmations

Christ Cathedral and The Church of the Incarnation had joint confirmations on January 10th with six members being confirmed and one being received into the Episcopal Church. A potluck lunch followed in the parish hall. Welcome!

Salina Souper Bowl of Hope

The Salina Souper Bowl of Hope will collect soup at all four Dillons stores on Saturday, January 30th from 10:00 - 6:00; Sunday, January 31st from 1:00 - 5:00; Saturday, February 6th from 10:00 - 6:00. The goal is to raise 44,000 cans of soup to be divided between the Salina Food Bank, Salvation Army, Salina Rescue Mission, Ashby House, and DVACK.

Annual Meeting

Christ Cathedral's annual meeting was on January 31st, after the 10:00 service. A light lunch was provided.

December

Christmas Eve Services

The Family Christmas Eve service was held at 5:00. The 10:00 service began with special music provided by the Cathedral Choir. Despite the weather, both services were nicely attended.

Ashby House Dinner

Christ Cathedral hosted the annual Ashby House Christmas dinner on December 13th. There was a service for the residents of Ashby House followed by a meal prepared and served by members of the Cathedral.

Lessons & Carols

The annual Advent Lessons & Carols, presented by Christ Cathedral and featuring the choir, was held during the 10:00 AM service on December 13th. We had some wonderful music and some wonderful readings! Thanks to all who were involved.

November

All Souls' Day

On November 2nd, Christ Cathedral will be having an All Souls' Day service at 5:00 PM. Please call the office at 827-4440 to add names to be remembered at the service.

Stations of the Cross

Beginning in November: Services of the Stations of the Cross will be held the first Friday of each month at 5:30, and every Friday during Lent.

Baptisms

Christ Cathedral had eight baptisms on November 22nd. Welcome!

October

Pet Blessing

On October 4th, the pets of Christ Cathedral were blessed to celebrate the feast of St. Francis.

St. John’s Military School

On October 11th, the St. John’s Military School cadets and their parents joined the congregation at Christ Cathedral for the 10:00 AM service.

Diocesan Convention

Christ Cathedral and The Church of the Incarnation hosted the annual Diocesan Convention, October 15-17.

Pumpkin Patch

On October 25th the youth and their families took their annual trip to the pumpkin patch. This year they went to Sunny Side Pumpkin Patch.
